$325,000 SMASHED! CLARO WALNUT Joins the Battle!
about 6 years ago – Thu, Feb 22, 2018 at 04:36:05 PM

Hello backers!

You heard right - the new unlock from the last survey is Claro Walnut!

Black Walnut is a longtime favorite, and Claro, its highly figured and colorful relative from the west coast, proved to be a welcome addition the the party.

Updated Roll The Dice Ratios

The decision to include stretch goal woods in Roll The Dice is one we thought would add a lot of fun and excitement to the option - however, we needed to revise the ratios in light of what had been unlocked - now that we've got only one more wood unlock planned, we feel comfortable revising the numbers and posting them at last.  Without further ado, here they are:

Over 40 Woods Available!
Over 40 Woods Available!

You can also find this graphic permanently on the campaign page.

With these final ratios, you may be wondering (or perhaps you have been for a while) if Roll The Dice is for you.

The option is a good fit for you if you love all natural materials, and don't have a preference in terms of the wood you receive, and just love the Arsenal for its utility and find the natural material to be an added bonus.  It's a great fit if you'd also love to personalize your order, since it includes complimentary engravings.

Roll The Dice may not be a good fit for you if you do have preferences - either for or against - certain woods.  If you find yourself thinking, "I really hope I get/don't get _____," you may want to reconsider opting for it.

Roll The Dice is intended to add a little fun and make selection easier for those that don't have strong preferences - the chance of getting one of our most rare woods at a low price point is a big added bonus, of course, but it shouldn't feel like a gamble - because you can't lose from a value perspective. Still, if there's a particular wood, or a few potential options, that would definitely make you happy - we recommend just going with one of them directly.  We think you'll be happier in the long run, and that's the outcome we're interested in. :)

More To Come

That wraps it up for this update - we've got more information coming soon regarding the new reward tier we've alluded to, and we look forward to sharing that with you in the coming days.

As always, thank you for making this an extraordinary campaign, and we're glad to have you with us on this journey!  Don't forget to share and post the campaign, as we have less than two weeks remaining (!) and we want to make sure everyone has a chance to join in before it closes!

Until next time, thank you again for your support, everyone.

$300,000! New Survey Winner UNLOCKED!
about 6 years ago – Mon, Feb 19, 2018 at 07:04:13 PM

Hello backers!

$300,000!

The Adventurer's Arsenal has now raised over $300,000 in pledges!  We're happy and proud to unlock the winner of the next poll as an available wood.

In keeping with tradition (the one that we just started), the two close runners-up will be slated for upcoming stretch goals: $325,000 and $350,000, respectively.  We know you can do it - just keep on sharing the page and spreading the word, and we'll get there!

On The Horizon

Some of you may recall that we hinted at an upcoming edition of the Master Vault to commemorate the response to this campaign - we're making progress, and while we don't have anything to announce yet, we wanted to let you know it was still happening and we'd be showing you something soon.

Pledge Manager: BackerKit

We're at about the halfway point of the campaign, and so we should start thinking about what happens afterward.  BackerKit, our pledge manager system, will go up soon after the campaign ends.  This will allow you to confirm all the details of your pledge in a very user-friendly way - you can tell us exactly what you pledged for, confirm that everything is correct, leave any important notes regarding your order, and even add to your pledge, if you forgot something during the campaign!

The reason we employ this approach is that our campaigns are pretty complex - rather than pledging for one item, you're selecting from literally hundreds and pledging for some combination of them.  Creating tiers to address each possible pledge would be impossible, and be a nightmare to navigate, besides.  So we utilize the system we do, where reward groups are based on fulfillment time, and you simply "overpledge" for whatever you'd like.

The downside, of course, is that there is no built-in way to tell us what your pledge is for - we can ask, but then we all have to check each other's math (which is why we build a Pledge Calculator that we keep up to date as new woods unlock).  BackerKit offers a solution that's easy and painless on both sides, and it also makes fulfillment easier, since it stores all the order details in an organized way.

If you've backed one of our projects before, you know what you're in for - if not, there's a good chance you've utilized BackerKit through another Kickstarter project.  If you haven't, though, don't worry - it may seem confusing now, but it's as simple as clicking a link and answering a few questions when the time comes.  :)

Thank You

It means a lot to have so many be so enthusiastic about something we create.  We see each pledge as much more than a pre-order of a product (and each backer is more than a customer).  A pledge is a vote of confidence, and a placing of trust.  It's an affirmation that the work we do is something you care about and value, and that means a great deal to each and every person here.  Thank you all for your incredible support!
